Dispute & Resolution Policy

This Dispute & Resolution Policy (“Policy”) governs how disputes between Freelancers and Employers/Clients are handled on Anyworks (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using Anyworks, all users agree to comply with this Policy.
1. Objective
Anyworks aims to provide a fair, transparent, and efficient mechanism to resolve disagreements arising out of projects, payments, deliverables, or conduct between Freelancers and Employers.
2. Scope of Disputes
This Policy applies to disputes related to:
- Quality or completeness of work
- Missed deadlines or milestones
- Payment release or non-payment
- Scope interpretation of agreed work
- Use or ownership of deliverables
- Miscommunication affecting project outcomes
Disputes outside the platform or involving illegal activities may not be covered.
3. Types of Contracts
3.1 Fixed-Price Projects
- Payments are held in escrow until the agreed milestone or project is completed.
- Employers must release payment upon satisfactory completion.
- Disputes must be raised before payment is released.
3.2 Hourly / Time-Based Projects (if applicable)
- Payments are based on approved hours or agreed terms.
- Disputes may be raised for specific hours or work periods only.
4. Raising a Dispute
- Either party may raise a dispute through the Anyworks platform.
- Disputes must be raised within 3 days of milestone submission, work delivery, or payment trigger.
- The disputing party must provide clear details, supporting documents, and communication history.
5. Initial Resolution (Self-Resolution)
Anyworks encourages both parties to first resolve disputes amicably by:
- Communicating through the platform’s messaging system
- Clarifying expectations and deliverables
- Agreeing on revisions, partial payments, or revised timelines
If resolved, the agreed outcome will be executed on the platform.
6. Mediation by Anyworks
If self-resolution fails:
- Anyworks will initiate mediation
- Both parties must cooperate and respond within specified timelines
- Anyworks may review:
- Project agreement
- Submitted work
- Messages and files exchanged
Anyworks may propose:
- Full payment to Freelancer
- Partial payment
- Refund to Employer
The mediation decision is binding for escrowed funds.
7. Payment Handling During Disputes
- Disputed amounts remain on hold until resolution.
- Only the disputed portion is affected.
- Anyworks service fees are non-refundable, regardless of dispute outcome.
8. Arbitration (Optional / Advanced Disputes)
For unresolved disputes beyond mediation:
- Parties may opt for independent arbitration at their own cost
- Anyworks is not obligated to participate unless required by law
- Arbitration outcomes may be enforced only for funds still held by Anyworks
9. No Penalty Policy
- Anyworks does not impose monetary penalties solely due to disputes
- There are no fines or negative balances imposed automatically
- Repeated disputes or abuse of the system may result in account review or suspension
10. Account Actions
Anyworks reserves the right to:
- Warn, suspend, or terminate accounts for:
- Fraud
- Repeated policy violations
- Misuse of dispute mechanisms
- Non-cooperation during resolution
11. Limitation of Liability
Anyworks acts as a neutral platform and mediator. We are not responsible for:
- Quality of work delivered
- Business losses or damages
- Decisions made outside the platform
Our liability is limited to the handling of funds held within Anyworks.
12. Policy Updates
Anyworks may update this Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
